Overview
of Training Courses
Essential Learning
The Arizona Foundation of Human Service Providers (AFHSP) has just entered into an agreement which creates a strategic alliance between AFHSP and Essential Learning (EL). The alliance offers AFHSP members EL's state-of-the-art learning management system at a discounted price. The learning management system allows you to provide staff training (with your own content or courses from EL's course library) and testing online (with automated scoring). All course data, whether online, classroom-based or taken at an off-site location, can be captured and tracked for reporting purposes in EL's learning management system. EL and AFHSP will also be working together to facilitate distribution of AFHSP member-developed online courses via a shared library system.
Budgets are tight right now and will be in the foreseeable future for publicly funded human service organizations. Essential Learning provides a service that can assist you in trimming costs for mandated staff training programs while at the same time making education more accessible and consistent. The majority of Fortune 500 Companies have implemented E-Learning programs because solid research has documented both improved learning outcomes and reduced costs when implementing computer assisted training. The service is especially valuable for our members in rural settings.
The Essential Learning system supports a blended training approach. In a blended approach, classes such as review courses and updates of basic information are presented online, providing a painless solution for routine and mandated compliance training. Providing these types of courses online saves the organization money both in paid training time and reduced travel expense. The organization can then focus valuable training resources on in-depth and skill-based courses that benefit from an instructor-led approach. The instructor can utilize the learning management system to present additional reference material and do testing and competence assessment online to take advantage of automated scoring.
We encourage you to take a look at how the Essential Learning system can benefit your organization. We have negotiated very attractive discounts and EL now has three membership packages available making E-Learning affordable for all sizes of organizations. These discounts will increase as AFHSP participation grows.
Essential Learning is happy to provide online demos of the
system.
